The OIS Isotopes science club

“Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge.” By Carl Sagan.

OIS Isotopes science club was a very impressive and enlightening club that inspired and educated many Middle School students. It was an initiative taken by the Science Department in which a team of students from the senior school would pass on their knowledge and teach the students in middle school.

This magnificent club unfolded with the inauguration by the Principal. Our beloved Principal, Mrs. Lalitha Suresh, our Headmistress Mrs. Reshmi Menon, MSG Supervisor Mrs. Sajna Santhosh and HOD Science Mrs. Mini Mijo shared their thoughts on this initiative.

The senior student team did a fantastic job by passing on their knowledge and taught the middle school students with passion, love and inspiration.

Students played a virtual escape room in which they had to answer various riddles to escape.

There was brilliant usage of technology to give the students an amazing and unique insight in the world of science.

Students collaborated and cooperated with each other and came up with fabulous solutions to different challenging problems.

The science club helped students to unleash their imagination and expand their knowledge through the wonders created by them.

Students solved mysteries and investigated crimes by learning different methods of investigating. They were also taught about fingerprints and its specialty in detail.

The young minds of students were challenged with brain teasing questions in each session where they used their critical thinking skills to solve those questions.

Students had a wonderful experience with brilliant virtual technologies like simulation and Nearpod which helped them develop a new way of thinking.

Students were able to do a lot of experiments throughout the summer vacation with the help of the Science Club.

This magnificent club helped a lot of middle school students to be more productive, inspired and expand their knowledge further into the world of science.
